Intimate Whytecliff Park Wedding in West Vancouver

Wedding

A Beautiful Ceremony in the Coastal Trees

Hannah and Gustavo’s Whytecliff Park wedding was proof that an intimate celebration can be every bit as meaningful as a large wedding day. Surrounded by approximately twenty of their closest friends and family, they exchanged vows overlooking the ocean while sea lions barked in the distance, creating the perfect soundtrack for a West Coast wedding day.

The atmosphere was relaxed, heartfelt and deeply personal. With only their nearest loved ones present every moment felt meaningful. While Gustavo’s family in Mexico was unable to attend in person, their presence was felt throughout the day. Hannah and Gustavo truly started this next chapter surrounded by love.

Portraits Along the West Vancouver Coast

One of the many reasons couples choose a Whytecliff Park wedding is the incredible scenery. Hannah and Gustavo were drawn to the natural wild beauty of the location. They wanted their portraits to feel authentic, connected and rooted in the landscape around them.

Whytecliff’s rocky shoreline, coastal forest and sweeping ocean views have my heart forever. I enjoyed the adventure of capturing these two against it’s beautiful backdrops. Rather than focusing on stiff poses, we spent our time exploring and creating moments of connection.

Their love was effortless to photograph. Whether they were laughing together along the shoreline or taking a quiet moment to soak everything in, every image reflected the warmth and bond they share.

Celebrating with Their Closest Family and Friends

One of the things I loved most about this wedding was how intentionally Hannah and Gustavo designed their day. Instead of a large celebration, they chose to spend their wedding surrounded by a small group of people who know and love them best.

The result was a wedding day that felt relaxed, genuine and full of meaningful interactions. There was plenty of laughter, heartfelt conversation and the kind of moments that become the memories people treasure most years later.

A Cold Plunge to End the Day

To finish their wedding celebration, Hannah and Gustavo embraced one final adventure.

After portraits they changed out of their wedding attire and headed into the ocean for a cold plunge. Several guests were brave enough to join them with smiles despite the cold. What started as a fun idea quickly became one of the most memorable moments of the entire day.

There was laughter, cheering and plenty of shocked reactions as everyone adjusted to the cold water. It was joyful, spontaneous and completely reflective of who Hannah and Gustavo are as a couple.

As far as wedding day endings go it was one of the most unique celebrations I’ve ever had the privilege of photographing!
