One of my favourite sessions from last year was with Milica and Andrei’s Pitt Lake engagement session. As a Vancouver wedding photographer, I have the privilege of capturing love stories in some of the most breathtaking locations in British Columbia! Not only was the location altogether breathtaking, but the entire experience was unforgettable. This session, which took place towards the end of summer, was a dream from start to finish. We were treated to golden late evening light that beautifully highlighted the couple’s undeniable connection.

Pitt Lake, with its sweeping mountain views, tranquil waters, and wide-open fields, provided the perfect backdrop for Milica and Andrei’s engagement session. These two are not only incredibly cute together but their chemistry is undeniably strong. From the very first shot, it was clear how deeply they cared for each other. Whether they were laughing in the fields, embracing by the water’s edge, or stealing glances at each other, their love was effortless and natural. Every moment seemed to flow seamlessly into the next, showcasing their undeniable bond. It’s always a pleasure capturing my clients love and this session was no exception.
The Magic of Golden Hour
When it comes to golden hour at Pitt Lake, there’s something truly magical about it. The soft, warm light added an ethereal glow to every image. The changing light allowed us to capture a range of moods and tones, giving the session an extra layer of beauty. The way the sun dipped behind the mountains, casting a golden hue over the lake and fields, was absolutely breathtaking. Milica and Andrei embraced the moment fully, making my job behind the camera an absolute joy.
A Journey from Engagement to ‘I Do’
Looking back, it was an honour not only to capture Milica and Andrei’s engagement but also to photograph their wedding at Stanley Park Pavilion later that year. Witnessing their love story unfold from this enchanting Pitt Lake session to their heartfelt wedding day was incredibly special. It was amazing to witness how their connection grew even stronger over time. Their wedding was an incredible celebration filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments, and I feel so lucky to have been part of it.
