Chelsea and Andrew’s Science World wedding in Vancouver was my first of 2017 and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the year off.
From the moment I arrived at Chelsea’s suite at the Granville Island Hotel I felt myself caught up in the easy laughter and effortless fun that surrounded everyone. After their first look outside the hotel, Chelsea and Andrew made their way to a waiting Aquabus to ferry themselves over to Olympic Village for more portraits and ultimately to Science World to make it official. I remember a moment during the ceremony, in between happy laughter, when I looked around and could see so many smiling faces and beautiful tears in the audience.
To say Chelsea and Andrew are loved and adored by those around them is putting it mildly.
I may or may not have also shed a couple tears myself – witnessing emotion on that level always makes my heart swell.
We headed out for a second portrait session using some of the Vancouver Mural Festival offerings as our backdrop. So in love with the colour and art that’s been added to our city! While we were gone a quick re-arrange of the tent got it ready for a relaxed bbq filled reception. The taste of those biscuits and chicken still haunts my memories. 😉
From morning till night everything about their wedding was a perfect reflection of who they are to each other. When you’re with Chelsea and Andrew you can’t help but see that the laughter is effortless between them and that above all, spending time with the people they love is the most important.
Big love to Marie Skerl for being my amazing second shooter for this one!
