I’ve had a love affair with Brix & Mortar from the very first time I laid eyes on it… and getting the chance to shoot a wedding there is always a treat! When Elyse and Gint first sat down for their meeting with me I knew we were going to have an amazing time shooting together. Their love of creative photography spoke directly to my heart and their desire to have an amazing time connecting with their family and friends really shone through.
Fast forward to the wedding day, we were looking at a potentially rainy morning… but we pushed ahead with our shooting plans all the same and I’m so glad we did. Elyse and Gint chose to read their personal vows in private during their first look in Coal Harbour – something I think more couples should do. I’m not ashamed to say I was crying along with them.
The day culminated in their ceremony and reception at Brix & Mortar filled with laughter, tears and more good food than you can shake a stick at. It was wonderful to see how much love there was amongst the guests for these two. You could see it in every smile and tear. Elyse and Gint, you have an amazing community! Thank you for choosing me to be there with you to witness and document it all.
It’s a day I will always remember.
